How Poste Delivery Now works
By digitising systems, using increasingly advanced technologies and optimising operational processes, companies can offer their customers an increasingly satisfying e-commerce shopping experience. In fact, customers who buy online on the websites of merchants who have activated the Poste Delivery Now service can receive shipments in a simple, fast and interactive manner, especially thanks to the possibility of choosing the exact time at which they want to receive their order. But let’s see how it works in detail.
After making the payment on the e-commerce website, customers who made the purchase, i.e. the ‘e-shoppers’, receive an e-mail or SMS with a link to the tracking page, where they can track the shipment, select a date and time for the delivery other than the assigned one, and reschedule if necessary. Should the delivery needs of the recipient change, it is also possible to modify the delivery address, set opening times (e.g. of concierge services or shops) and reschedule the appointment up to 5 minutes before delivery. Upon arrival, the recipients receive a notification that the courier is in the area and, by clicking on the link to the tracking page, they can follow the courier’s route live on a map until arrival. Finally, they can check the photographic proof of delivery and review their own delivery experience.
How to activate Poste Delivery Now
Poste Delivery Now (available in the cities of Rome, Milan, Turin, Bologna, Bergamo, Brescia, Florence, Genoa, Naples, Padua, Monza, Verona and Varese) can be activated by the e-commerce company by choosing the Poste Delivery Business shipping services, a versatile and modular range for sending goods and documents in Italy and abroad, which can also count on the distribution network made up of lockers and Punto Poste pick-up points.
Poste Delivery Now is available in the Scheduled Delivery option, which allows deliveries to be scheduled flexibly, choosing the date and time slot, including evenings or Saturdays, also directly on the website where the purchase is made. The Same Day Delivery formula is also available, which instead gives the possibility of receiving the product ordered online on the same day of purchase, within an evening time window between 19.00 and 23.00.
