Specialised operators and 1,250 post offices chosen to innovate. Poste Italiane is ready to push ahead with the offer of new services, from energy to fibre passing through motor liability, and with the repositioning of its distribution network to develop services to the fullest. Milano Finanza explains this in an article dedicated to the evolution of Poste Italiane’s products and services. ‘The group led by Matteo Del Fante,’ it reads, ‘also wants to grow in the small and medium-sized business sector and is ready to exploit the full potential of an entirely-digital service.’
Online services
Poste Italiane’s digital web and app channels are now the access point to online services for 36.8 million retail users (33.8 million as of 31 December 2021) and are positioned as both direct sales and after-sales channels. ‘68% of Poste Italiane’s interactions and 36% of its transactions,’ the business newspaper continues, ‘are handled via remote channels every day (around 20% from digital channels in particular).’
Strategic plan
Milano Finanza then recalls the confirmation of Del Fante at the helm of Poste and the presentation, announced by the CEO, of a new industrial plan. A business plan that ‘will be in the sign of continuity, to have time to proceed with all the projects that have been started in recent years’. And among these, MF points out, there will certainly be the growth in the energy and fibre sectors, as well as in insurance. The landing on the market of the electricity and gas offer took place two months ago, exceeding 200,000 subscriptions with bills that envisage fixed instalments for 24 months and with the goal of reaching 1.5 million customers by 2025.
