Poste sempre più leader di sostenibilità per Moody’s Analytics e Morgan Stanley

Poste Italiane confirmed its leadership in ESG policies by ranking in the Advanced category in Moody’s Analytics’ ESG overall score for the second year running, with a score of 79 points out of 100, two more than in the previous edition. Poste Italiane also consolidated its AA rating by Morgan Stanley International Capital (MSCI).

ESG criteria

Moody’s Analytics examines 38 ESG criteria and assesses the sustainability performance of companies based on specific environmental, social and governance criteria, measuring their resilience in the management of risks and opportunities related to each of the sustainability aspects. The agency rated Gruppo Poste Italiane positively thanks to the strong commitment shown by the company in integrating ESG risk analysis into its due diligence and investment process, as well as for its ability to manage environmental risk in terms of programmes, actions and targets aimed at reducing GHG emissions. The Group was also rewarded for its robust employee engagement strategy, geared towards attracting new talent and retaining its own resources, and for implementing robust data protection processes, including the external certifications obtained and the compliance programmes initiated. As for Morgan Stanley Capital International, the company judged Gruppo Poste Italiane’s performance to be well above the sector averages in each of the three ESG aspects (environmental, social and corporate governance), with a particular distinction for the results achieved in the governance area. The ratings from Moody’s Analytics and MSCI add to the numerous awards received by Gruppo Poste Italiane Group for its sustainability practices. Poste Italiane has been included in the most prestigious international sustainability indices, such as Dow Jones Indices, Integrated Governance Index, Euronext Equileap Gender Equality Eurozone 100, FTSE4Good, Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index and Stoxx Global ESG Leaders. Positive ratings from agencies such as CDP, Sustainalytics and the ‘Top 5% S&P Global ESG Score 2022’ in the Sustainability Yearbook 2023 confirmed the Group’s commitment to sustainability.
