Poste Italiane is world “Sector leader” for sustainability in insurance. The recognition comes from the S&P Global rating agency’s analysis of the results of the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). Poste Italiane also consolidates its leadership in sustainability by confirming its fifth consecutive appearance in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index World and the more selective Dow Jones Sustainability Index Europe. Standard&Poor’s Global compares the sustainability policy performance of companies in 61 sectors. The Dow Jones Sustainability World Index tracks the performance of the top 10% of the 2,500 largest listed companies in the S&P Global Broad Market Index, while the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index tracks the performance of the top 20% of the 600 largest organisations on the European continent.

Companies are selected for inclusion in the indices on the basis of their performance in the CSA ratings of S&P Global, the international benchmark for sustainability. “Receiving the Insurance Sector Leader award from S&P Global”, commented CEO Matteo Del Fante, “and the confirmation of our inclusion in the Poste Italiane in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index World and Europe for the fifth consecutive year are a sign of the quality and effectiveness of our ESG policies. Inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index World and Europe and top place in the S&P Global insurance sector rankings are among the numerous awards received by the Poste Italiane Group for its sustainability policies. Added to this are achievements such as the platinum medal received from EcoVadis, the maintenance of the ‘AA’ rating in the MSCI ratings and a newly improved score from Moody’s, as well as Poste Italiane’s inclusion in the most prestigious international sustainability indices, such as Euronext Vigeo-Eiris Indices, Integrated Governance Index, Euronext Equileap Gender Equality Eurozone 100, FTSE4Good, Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index and Stoxx Global ESG Leaders. The positive ratings obtained from agencies such as CDP and Sustainalytics further confirm the company’s commitment to sustainability. In addition, the Group has maintained its position as one of the sustainability leaders in the MIB® ESG index launched in 2021 by Euronext and Borsa Italiana, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to responsible and sustainable management.
