Poste Italiane ranks first for sustainability in the European insurance sector and second worldwide. The group enhances its leadership in sustainability and reaffirms its presence in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index World, as well as the more selective Dow Jones Sustainability Index Europe, for the sixth year in a row.

Poste Italiane reached a total score of 90, compared to an industry average of 44 points; it further confirmed its top position in the European insurance sector and ranks second globally, with the highest score in the social dimension (98 points) and a growth of 18 points in the environmental dimension since 2023.
Major listed companies
The recognition comes from the rating agency S&P Global on the results of the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). Standard & Poor’s Global compares the results of companies’ sustainability policies across more than 60 sectors. The Dow Jones Sustainability World Index monitors the performance of the top 10% of the 2,500 largest companies listed within the S&P Global Broad Market Index; while the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index monitors the performance of the top 20% of the 600 largest organisations in the European continent.
Other awards
Being included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index World and Europe and leading the global ranking of the insurance sector by S&P Global are among the numerous accolades awarded to the Poste Italiane Group for its sustainability policies. These achievements are complemented by the awarding of the platinum medal from EcoVadis, securing the top position in all three dimensions of the ISS ESG Quality score, maintaining an ‘AA’ rating from MSCI, and confirming its standing in the advanced category by Moody’s. Additionally, Poste Italiane is included in the most esteemed international sustainability indices, including the ESG-Identity Corporate Index, Euronext Equileap Gender Equality Eurozone 100, FTSE4Good, and Stoxx Global ESG Leaders.

Poste Italiane has also maintained its leadership among sustainability leaders within the MIB® ESG index launched in 2021 by Euronext and Borsa Italiana, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to responsible and sustainable management.
