With its presence at WMX Europe in Rome, Poste Italiane strengthens its central role in the world of international logistics. The World Mail & Express Europe Conference is a major trade event for European mail and parcel professionals. The conference was held in Rome and offered two days of keynote speeches, case studies, open discussions and networking hours.
Poste Italiane host sponsor of the event
Poste Italiane participated as a host: participants were able to share best practices and acquire the most innovative knowledge, thus expanding their network. As highlighted in a report aired on the TG Poste, this was a significant event for an exceptional player such as Poste Italiane, which opened the proceedings with a speech by Massimo Rosini, the company's PCL services director.
A company that crosses European borders
He was joined by Poste Italiane's International Manager, Jan Van Roey, who emphasised to TG Poste that 'in the international e-commerce landscape there is strong competition, but Poste Italiane has addressed the situation by signing important agreements with a solid company like DHL Group, which gives us the possibility to send parcels to Europe quickly and efficiently. Poste Italiane's next goal will be to go beyond Europe, also through collaboration with increasingly prestigious and reliable partners'.
Artificial intelligence and new systems in logistics
Among the innovative solutions that, in the field of logistics, were addressed during WMX Europe, was that proposed by artificial intelligence, alongside the other modern and futuristic systems that every company can apply to its own strategies, an area that once again saw Poste Italiane play a leading role, with the intervention of Cosimo Birtolo, Head of the company's Artificial Intelligence Hub. An important two days, in short, for Poste Italiane, given also its participation in PostEurop, the association of European public postal operators.
