Renewed framework agreement consolidating operational cooperation, fostering the continuous exchange of information and the implementation of joint activities to prevent and counter cyber attacks

The Ministry of the Interior, Department of Public Security, and Poste Italiane strengthen the institutional synergy to protect the IT security of public services and digital infrastructures. Today, in the presence of Minister Matteo Piantedosi, the framework agreement consolidating the collaboration between Poste Italiane and the State Police, through the action of the Postal Police for cyber security, was renewed.

The signing of the agreement

The agreement, signed by the Chief of Police, Vittorio Pisani, and the CEO of Poste Italiane, Matteo Del Fante, together with the General Manager of Poste Italiane, Giuseppe Lasco, consolidates a historic cooperation in a context characterised by increasingly sophisticated cyber threats. The renewal introduces new forms of operational cooperation, fostering the continuous exchange of information and the implementation of joint activities to prevent and counter cyber attacks Specific training programmes are also planned to enhance skills in the field of digital security.

The Polis Project

A particularly important area of the collaboration is dedicated to the protection of digital infrastructures that support Poste Italiane's Polis Project: the initiative that promotes economic, social and territorial cohesion in 7,000 municipalities with less than 15,000 inhabitants and aims to transform post offices into digital access points for the public administration, facilitating access to services for citizens.
