Between January and June 2025, postmen delivered 66 million parcels, marking a 21.2% increase over the same period last year. In total, Poste Italiane handled 159 million parcels in the first half of the year. The postmen network managed 41.5% of all parcels, reinforcing its central role in the Group’s e-commerce logistics strategy, which is increasingly focused on environmental sustainability.
Green Deliveries
Poste Italiane’s fleet includes around 29,000 low-emission vehicles, 6,200 of which are fully electric. The Group’s environmental investments are also shaping the evolution of its logistics offerings. The Punto Poste network, with approximately 18,000 pick-up points alongside 12,800 post offices, offers customers flexible delivery options while significantly reducing emissions. One key benefit is the ability to deliver multiple parcels to a single collection point, thereby cutting CO₂ emissions.
The Role of Lockers
Poste Italiane's transformation into an end-to-end logistics operator with a focus on parcel management also includes its strategic partnership with DHL, signed in 2023, and the establishment in 2024 of Locker Italia S.p.A., aimed at developing a national locker network for parcel deliveries. As of the end of June 2025, approximately 500 lockers have already been installed across Italy.
