Poste Italiane has been awarded the international “Liberi di crescere” prize. The recognition, promoted by the association La Caramella Buona, acknowledges the company’s initiatives for social inclusion, child protection, support for vulnerable and disadvantaged groups, and its commitment to the Third Sector. The award, now in its eighth edition, was presented during a ceremony held at the Circolo Ufficiali Pio IX in Rome. Giuseppe Lasco, Chief Executive Officer of Poste Italiane, accepted the award. Throughout his career, Lasco has held several key positions, including Head of the Corporate Affairs Division and Deputy CEO of Poste Italiane, as well as senior roles at Terna S.p.A., developing extensive expertise in corporate governance and strategic management.
The motivation
The organizers of the “Liberi di crescere” award stated that "Poste Italiane stands out in the field of social responsibility, not only as Italy’s largest company but also as one of the most ethical and socially aware. Inclusion, child protection, and care for vulnerable and disadvantaged groups are part of the company’s long-standing mission, promoted through concrete projects and initiatives in support of the Third Sector." The association La Caramella Buona also highlighted its long-standing collaboration with Poste Italiane and the tangible support received over the years, which has made it possible to provide assistance to victims of violence by offering them safe shelters, as well as legal and psychological support. Moreover, thanks to Poste Italiane, the association has implemented projects involving thousands of students across Italy, organizing educational activities in schools to combat abuse, bullying, and youth distress.
