The Poste Italiane App closed 2025 ranked among the top-downloaded iPhone apps, with 16 million users of all ages — a success widely reported in the national press. “Poste, 16 million for the app” reports Corriere della Sera, one of Italy’s most authoritative daily newspapers, while the Roman daily Il Messaggero highlights “a result that demonstrates the effectiveness of Poste Italiane’s digital strategy, which outperforms Big Tech and ranks at the top of Apple’s App Store among free iPhone applications in Italy, ahead of Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and YouTube. Among the users are also 300,000 over-80s, who can access services with just a few clicks.”
Poste Beats Big Tech
According to Il Giornale “the super app beats Big Tech”, while La Notizia notes: “The Super App stands out as the main platform for customer engagement and interaction, providing updates on service offerings through an omnichannel approach. Poste’s platform serves as the single point of access to the entire ecosystem of services offered by the group led by Matteo del Fante. Designed to deliver a comprehensive, secure and intuitive digital experience, it has progressively replaced the previous apps (BancoPosta and PostePay), ensuring seamless operation through the same login credentials already in use.” The outstanding performance of Poste’s app is also covered by Italia Oggi (“Poste Italiane, app used by over 16 million people”) and Libero (“Poste’s app tops the store”).
