Poste’s Record Year in the National Press: “The Best Result in Our History”

di
From Corriere della Sera to Il Sole 24 Ore, as well as MF and Italia Oggi: major newspapers devote significant coverage to the Group’s 2025 results.

Record-breaking figures for Poste Italiane, with national newspapers widely covering the Company’s 2025 performance. Corriere della Sera reports that “the double-digit growth in operating profit and net profit confirms Poste Italiane’s unprecedented financial results. The 2025 figures, approved by the board of the group led by Matteo Del Fante, confirm that the TIM transaction is beginning to generate its first synergies and that the objectives of the strategic plan have been achieved ahead of schedule, with a corresponding impact on the accounts: revenues reached a record €13.1 billion (+4%), while net profit stood at €2.2 billion (+10.3%).” Il Sole 24 Ore also highlights the results in its headline, “Poste, yet another year of record accounts: profits up 10% to €2.3 billion,” dedicating ample space to the figures related to the TIM transaction and its initial results.

The App Boom

“An exceptional year,” CEO Matteo Del Fante described it – as reported by Milano Finanza. While awaiting the renewal of his mandate at the April shareholders’ meeting, he has already begun working on the new strategic plan, which will be presented by the end of the year and will accelerate the use of artificial intelligence. The current plan, which runs until the end of 2028, already appears to have been overtaken by events. Il Messaggero headlines: “Poste Italiane, revenues and profits at historic highs in 2025,” and highlights the new app: “Among the results achieved by the group during 2025, Del Fante particularly emphasized the complete migration of all the group’s apps to the ‘super-app’ ‘P’, a personalized access point to Poste’s entire platform powered by artificial intelligence: “With 16 million downloads and over 4 million daily active users,” the CEO explained, “today ‘P’ is the leading app of any company in Italy.’” “We remain confident in our long-term trajectory, which we will illustrate in detail in the next multi-year plan by the end of the year,” Del Fante stated, as reported by La Stampa. Finally, Italia Oggi ran the headline “Record Year for Poste,” noting that “a reorganization has been launched integrating payment and financial services activities. ‘Our energy and telecommunications activities are housed within Postepay, which is merging with Bancoposta,’ Del Fante explained. Following this merger, however, we will hold the energy and telecommunications business at the parent-company level, at the holding level, which essentially means there will be a distribution agreement with the network.”
