Poste Italiane presented its new eCommerce services dedicated to small and medium-sized enterprises at NetComm Forum 2024, Italy’s leading event dedicated to e-commerce. In line with the Company’s omnichannel evolution and with the new strategies outlined in the 2024-2028 The Connecting Platform Business Plan, Poste Italiane’s offer represents an important lever for the digital growth of SMEs by guaranteeing a complete and modular range of services: from financial services, logistics and telephony, down to collection and payment systems. An evolved offer that, in addition to the BancoPosta Business Link account, which can be managed through the PosteBusiness App, includes MPos PostePay for receiving and making electronic payments on the move with no fixed monthly charges, the Paga con Postepay solution, designed to simplify payments for e-shoppers thanks to Poste Italiane’s 30 million cards, and express courier services with Poste Delivery Business, which allows documents and goods to be sent to private and corporate recipients in Italy and abroad, with numerous value-added options for both senders and recipients.
Poste’s Green Index
The importance of sustainability in the development of Poste Italiane’s logistics led the company to developing the Green Index, an indicator for calculating CO2 emissions. Thanks to this tool, business customers will be able to measure the emission savings generated by using Poste Italiane as a courier and thus reduce their carbon footprint for each individual shipment. The company also participated in the event with two workshops dedicated to the following products.
PosteGoFresh deliveries
PosteGoFresh is the first refrigerated delivery service for fresh food purchased online, already active in over 25 Italian provinces including Rome, Milan, Turin, Bologna, Florence, Genoa and to be extended to many more cities throughout 2024. Poste Italiane’s offer allows a high degree of customisation of the delivery method, with the guarantee that the goods will remain at a controlled temperature between 0 and 4 degrees.
Boxless solution
Boxless, on the other hand, is the environmentally-friendly solution that simplifies shipping and returning without the need for boxes, and is made available directly at the Post Office or in the over 15,500 PuntoPoste facilities, i.e. the network of tobacconists, coffee shops, stationery stores, service stations and newsagents for collecting or returning parcels.
