After receiving the philatelic folder that Poste Italiane dedicated to Queen Elizabeth II, the Private Secretary to the Sovereign sent a letter to express the British sovereign’s deep appreciation for the message with which Poste Italiane’s CEO Matteo Del Fante accompanied the delivery to the royal house of the postage stamp dedicated to the commemoration of Queen Elizabeth. “His Majesty,” it reads, “greatly appreciated the sentiments expressed in your message and the thoughtfulness of your gesture. In reciprocation, the King sends his best wishes to all concerned.”
